Arthur van der Kroef is associate partner working from the Amsterdam office and co-founder of the law firm Van Diepen Van der Kroef Advocaten. Arthur van der Kroef has worked on corporate law and mergers & acquisitions since 1995. He mainly advises on the purchase and sale of companies, and on transactions such as equity participations. He acts for buyers, sellers and investors, as well as for the company being invested in or its management. With his expertise on good corporate governance, he assists directors, supervisory directors and shareholders. As a lawyer, he has advised many venture capitalists and corporate finance organisations and has been involved in a significant number of acquisitions, mergers and management buy-ins / buy-outs. He also regularly assists companies with restructuring.
For the first 10 years after being sworn in as a lawyer, Arthur van der Kroef practised insolvency law. He is an experienced trustee, having settled more than 100 bankruptcies / moratoriums of payments. He has been teaching bankruptcy law (Alex van Groningen's Corporate Recovery course) since 1995. Arthur regularly acts in disciplinary cases for chartered accountants.
Arthur grew up in The Hague and lives in Amsterdam. He is married with two children. Chess and reading are among his favourite pastimes in his spare time. He also enjoys sports, including golf, skiing, football and sea sailing. His goal is to cross the ocean single handed one day.
VDVDK assisted Vomar Voordeelmarkt in the purchase of 22 stores of the North Holland supermarket chain Deen. The other stores have been taken over by Albert Heijn and Dekamarkt.
VDVDK assisted GP Groot with the takeover of the collection and recycling activities of its industry colleague Bnext.nl.
